Popped in for a Boxing Day pint. Place was heaving with a skittle comp on. So great to see a local pub doing well

Good country pub, great cosy atmosphere and big fireplace, great comfort food and service.

Had occasion to visit this establishment following a days fishing nearby Never been here before but have to say I certainly look forward to going back. The service was first class, the food was excellent - Had the best steak I have had for many a year. To top it all off - A good old fashioned historic country pub with a great atmosphere - Easily 5 stars all round

What a surprise this was - very unassuming from the outside but as soon as I walked in and smelled beer (as all pubs should smell of but few do these days) I knew we were going to be OK. The beer was great and so was the music but the food hit another level entirely, my pork belly was superb as were the other dishes, no skimping on portion size either. It's an old rustic place but all the better for it - this is how pubs used to be everywhere back in the day - well done to the owners for keeping it real and congrats to whoever is cooking the food as they really know what they're doing.

I have been to this lovely old pub for many years on and off, It has always been a pleasure with great food, Beers ciders and wines . The 16oz rump steak was cooked to perfection!! Highly recommended!!!!

Absolute belter of a country pub. Just what we wanted. Stopped off to stay in the T5 in their car park, they were most welcoming. Food, banging. Proper pub food but better.

Lovely country pub with plenty of parking and beer garden. Their home made food is to die for and one of the best local Sunday carvery.

Stopped at the Crown in the motorhome and wanted electric but had all gone, owners tried to accommodate me with electric but didn't have the correct adapter but went out of their way to help. The pub is a country pub with great owners big open fire really nice atmosphere would definitely call back when passing.

Hands down the best pub food we’ve had in a very long time! All four meals couldn’t be faulted! Loved the atmosphere, friendly staff/owners and my daughter fell in love with pub dog Rolo! A great find!
